The door of the church is symbolic of baptism, that is our entry into Christian life. Ushers are graced with the opportunity to extend Christ's love in this very storied ministry.
Ushers are the first people friend and stranger alike meet as they enter our church. Their friendly greeting, assists the transition from the outside world to the celebration of the Eucharist, a place of prayer and a place of community.
Ushers also assist in the seating of parishioners, the collection and the orderly distribution of Holy Communion.
