We are dedicated to the religious education experience of the children of the parish in grades 1-8, as well as their parents. We hope to encourage the children and their families to grow spiritually, live the Gospel message and be actively involved in the Church.
PHILOSOPHY Our program has a spiritual dimension which permeates a caring, loving, and sharing atmosphere conducive to the education of our children through the teachings of God and the Good News of Jesus.
We strive for the development of each child, spiritually and morally. It is through the teachings of Jesus that we foster the awareness of Christian priniciples and the God within us.
Faith comes alive through active participation in prayer and service projects. Each child is considered a unique human person created in the image and likeness of God. Students are encouraged to be mutually supportive in their daily interactions with their peers. These relationships foster respect for differences, concern for the needs of others and sincere generosity.
Our program helps each student develop a relationship with God and a good self-image. We subscribe to the belief that we share with parents the responsibility of preparing future leaders in the Church.
The Pastor, as spiritual shepherd of the parish, also serves as head of the Religious Education Program. The Directress is responsible for the internal operation and the immediate direction of the teaching-learning situation. The Directress works with the pastor, teachers, parents and students.
It is important that teachers who volunteer to teach at St. Luke embrace Christian principles and high standards. The teachers, as positive role models, encourage our students to develop high moral standards.
WE WORK TO ASSIST PARENTS IN BRINGING THEIR CHILDREN TO JESUS.
