ADMISSIONS 
1.  Admission is based upon full registration within St. Luke Parish and the Religious Education
     Program.
 
REGISTRATION (NEW STUDENTS)
1.  A Baptismal certificate is required.
2.  Place, date and denomination of Baptism, First Reconciliation & First Eucharist (as applicable).
3.  Transfer from from previous parish if child has attended another Religious Education Program.
4.  Mother's Maiden name, Father's name, and home, work and emergency numbers.
5.  Select day/class time with 3 choices.
6.  If relying on a carpool, registration forms need to come together.
7.  Tuition fee.
8.  Special Education needs, medical information and Custodial issues should be disclosed to the DRE.
INCOMPLETE REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

RE-REGISTRATION
1.  Registration forms are updated every year, please note any changes from the previous year.
2.  Select day/class time with 2 choices.
3.  When relying on a carpool, registration forms need to come together.
4.  Tuition fee.
INCOMPLETE REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

PLACEMENT
1.  Children will be placed according to academic grade level, if possible.
2.  Children who have not received the Sacraments will be placed in specialized make-up classes.

ATTENDANCE
1.  The Diocese requires 28/30 hours a year.
2.  FOUR (4) excused absences are allowed for the year.  Unsatisfactory attendance will result in an
     incomplete year that will need to be made up.   Two incomplete years cannot precede a
     sacrament year (Levels 2 & 8).
3.  All work from the day absent must be completed for the next session.  If work is not made up
     the level needs to be repeated.
4.  If a child must be absent over a long period of time (illness or accident), discuss this with the
     Directress.  It is possible to have Home Study.
5.  Sports and other extra curricular activities are not excuses for absences from Religious Education.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
1.  Drop off students at the BACK of the building.
2.  No child may leave the building unless accompanied by an adult.
3.  Pick up Level 7 & 8 students at the FRONT of the building.
4.  To eliminate class interruptions, please have your children go to the bathroom before coming into
     the Parish Center for beginning prayer & announcements.

LATENESS
1.  Classes begin at 4:00 pm, 5:30 pm & 7:00 pm.  Please be on time.
2.  Tardy students, with a parent or adult, are to report to the attendance desk before going to
     class.
3.  Excessive tardiness may mean forfeiting a year of Religious Education.

EARLY DISMISSAL
1.  A signed note must be given to the office.
2.  The parent/guardian is required to go to the office before the child can be released.

DRESS CODE
1.  Clothing must be modest.  No bare midriffs or short-shorts.
2.  Hats are not permitted to be worn in class.
3.  Student who are unsuitably dressed will be sent home.

DISCIPLINE
1.  1st offense:   Warning from the teacher.
2.  2nd offense:  Child is removed from class and spoken to by the Coordinator and returned to class.
3.  3rd offense:  Child is sent to the DRE and parents are called.  Parents will sit in on class.
4.  4th offense:  Child is removed from the Program, meets with Fr. Bob and the DRE and possible
                        home instruction may be required.

EMERGENCY CLOSINGS
1.  Emergency closings for inclement weather will be announced over WOBM (92.7 FM), on
     wobm.com and on this website. 
     RULE OF THUMB:  If the Public Schools are dismissed for inclement weather there will be no
                               Religious Education on that day.
